After treating Toronto with readings from Oscar of Between, Betsy took her poetic memoir over to the Poetry Library in London, England, where she took part in a reading and panel discussion called “Queer Poets on Teaching” Wednesday night.
Betsy, Maria Jastrzebska, Saradha Soobrayen, and Andra Simons discussed “teaching styles, influences and the ways queerness influences their writing and performance.”
The Poetry Library houses modern and contemporary poetry. You have to have a UK address to join, but . . . what a neat concept! We should import it in Canada.
Next stop for Oscar: reading and Interview in Reykjavik, Iceland.
